A year of novel experiences. As the year progressed, I came out of my shell and grew so much as a person. I accrued many discoveries that I would now consider to be core hobbies and personality traits, such as film photography, thrifting, and geocaching. After uncovering oases to tuck myself into, I hid there from the world just to experience it to the fullest extent. I felt like new life was breathed into me—I had never felt so alive before. And I felt so immersed in every moment I was in, acting without thinking first. Though destructive, it was fun and spontaneous. Alas, we live and we learn.
